Cinnamon Sugar Fried Apples with Caramel Cream Cheese Dip

A delectably sweet treat that’s perfect for Autumn.

Ingredients:

For the Apples:
5 Pink Lady apples
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup sugar
1 cup quick-mixing flour
Vegetable oil, for frying
1/8 cup cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
For the Dip:
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz whipped topping
1 cup caramel sauce

Directions:

  1. Peel and slice apples into wedges.
  2. Spread the quick-mixing flour in a bowl.
  3. Pour the vegetable oil into a deep pan. Bring to medium-high heat.
  4. Combine the buttermilk and sugar in a medium size bowl. Dip the apple wedges into the buttermilk mixture.
  5. Place the apple wedges in the flour and coat all sides.
  6. Drop the coated apples into the oil and fry to golden brown. Flip and fry until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the apples to a paper towel line plate.
  8. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the apples while theyâ??re hot. Let cool.
  9. Thoroughly stir together the cream cheese and whipped topping in a bowl. Then stir in the caramel sauce.
  10. Serve the cinnamon sugar fried apples with the caramel cream cheese dip.
