After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

The tastiest recipe for turkey leftovers.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
Turkey leftovers, meat, bones, carcass
Garlic salt, to taste
16 oz green peas
2 carrots, peeled, sliced
Black pepper, to taste
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 cups uncooked white rice
1 1/2 cups stuffing
2 1/2 quarts bone broth
1 yellow onion, peeled, diced

Directions:

  1. Place carrots, poultry seasoning, turkey leftovers, broth, onion, and stuffing in a large pot. Bring contents to a boil on medium-high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour. Remove the turkey carcass and bones. Place any meat back in the pot.
  2. Add pepper and garlic salt. Pour in white rice and turn the heat up. Bring the pot to a boil. After boiling, reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Stir in peas, continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Add more salt and pepper if needed.
