After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup





Serves 10 |
The tastiest recipe for turkey leftovers.
Ingredients:
| 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning |
| Turkey leftovers, meat, bones, carcass |
| Garlic salt, to taste |
| 16 oz green peas |
| 2 carrots, peeled, sliced |
| Black pepper, to taste |
| 2 celery stalks, chopped |
| 2 cups uncooked white rice |
| 1 1/2 cups stuffing |
| 2 1/2 quarts bone broth |
| 1 yellow onion, peeled, diced |
Directions:
- Place carrots, poultry seasoning, turkey leftovers, broth, onion, and stuffing in a large pot. Bring contents to a boil on medium-high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour. Remove the turkey carcass and bones. Place any meat back in the pot.
- Add pepper and garlic salt. Pour in white rice and turn the heat up. Bring the pot to a boil. After boiling, reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
- Stir in peas, continue to simmer for 10 minutes. Add more salt and pepper if needed.
