Easy Green Bean Casserole

Serves 8 | 
A surprisingly easy and delicious dish.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 lb fresh green beans
1 1/3 cups French fried onions
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Trim ends of green beans. Place green beans in a microwave safe bowl. Pour water into bowl. Cover bowl with a paper towel and microwave green beans for 5-7 minutes. Drain water and pat dry green beans.
  3. Combine green beans, 1/3 cup of French fried onions, both cans of cream of mushroom soup and shredded cheese in a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
  4. Transfer mixture to a medium baking dish. Place baking dish in oven and cook for 25 minutes. Remove baking dish from oven and top with remaining 1 cup of French fried onions. Place back in oven and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
