This June marks the 10th anniversary of California Avocado Month.
Let’s all toast to the wonderful fruit that is the California avocado. Did you know avocados are considered a superfruit? It’s because they are a great source of vitamins A, D, K and E, copper, potassium, and heart healthy monounsaturated fat. Avocados are a nutritious addition to any meal. Try spreading fresh avocado on your morning toast as a delicious alternative jelly, add a few avocado slices to you BLT sandwich for a noticeably richer taste or make a turkey club wrap with crisp lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, bacon and a few slices of deli turkey.
