Biscuits with Sausage Gravy





Serves 8 |
A comfort food style breakfast that's sure to please.
Ingredients:
| 1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits |
| 16 oz breakfast sausage |
| 1/4 cup flour |
| 2 1/2 cups milk |
| Salt, to taste |
| Ground black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
- Follow package directions to bake biscuits.
- As biscuits are baking, cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk. Cook until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Split biscuits in half. Place 2 halves on each plate. Top biscuits with about 1/3 cup gravy and enjoy!
