Chicken Marsala





Serves 4 |
The perfect dinner for date night.
Ingredients:
| 1/4 cup flour |
| 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
| 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved and tenderized |
| 4 tablespoons olive oil |
| 4 tablespoons butter |
| 1 cup sliced mushrooms |
| 1/4 cup cooking sherry |
| 1/2 cup Marsala wine |
Directions:
- Mix together flour, oregano, salt and black pepper in a shallow dish. Coat each chicken piece in mixture.
- Place olive oil and butter in a large skillet set over medium heat. Heat until butter melts. Place chicken in skillet and cook until lightly browned. Flip chicken pieces over then add mushrooms, sherry and wine. Cover skillet and simmer chicken until no longer pink and juices run clear, 10 minutes or so. Turn chicken pieces once during cooking.
